1: Never.
2: Never.
3: Use the search bar in the corner.
4: No clue what that is. Sorry.

I apologise if I am sounding harsh, but we have nothing to do with GBA development. Totally different stuff. It sounds as though you are desiring to make a complex game; start small, such as moving a ball around and really just playing with the functions. Also, while programming experience in C is not required, it can be a great help.

No one has really developed a battle system script for anyone to use. A few people have made their own (like me), but it is complicated. You can make your own, but you should keep it simple.

A battle system is actually very complex...

I searched up DBZ Buu fury. I think that style of fighting is easier than having a turned based battle system, but they both have their challenges.
(Is this what you're referring to?: http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Z:_Buu%27s_Fury)

So you said you tried making it? Could we see how far you've gotten? I may be able to help a bit.

You seem interested in GBA development.

I've been working on a program like DSGM but for GBA. However, I'm losing my own interest on it, and so am not sure if I should work more on it.

Ooh! That sounds interesting. I want to play with that idea, although not with DSGM, but with plain-old Java. I will tell you how that goes.

Java, eh?

I don't like using Java. It's slow and inconvenient, however I only say that for desktop apps made using it. It can be done, though, so good luck.

I find myself struggling to figure out how the hell did James implement object-oriented programming into regular C.

Every object is a function, labeled 1-128. It loops through these indefinitely along with room code.

If you ever get a chance, compile a few random DSGM projects you have lying around and open up the compile folder. I like looking at the source files to see how the DSGM environment creates the game. It is rather interesting actually.

I've had to do that recently, since I'm working on a "universal" draw variable action. (You can draw: int, float, bool, char and string. At least that's what I'm working on).
